Consulting

The seven regional counselling bureaus function as a point of first contact to the Kårkulla Joint Authority. They are situated in Jakobstad, Vaasa, Närpes, Pargas, Raseborg, Helsinki and Porvoo.

The counselling bureaus form a central link between the users and their relatives, the various local authorities and the joint authority.

The counselling bureaus offer consulting, support, guidance and information as well as an option for evaluations and tests, as agreed with the local authority. Visits can be made to the user’s own home, at the counselling bureau or, for example, at the day care centre or school.

As a rule, the multi-professional team at the counselling bureau is made up of social welfare officers, psychologists and pedagogical supervisors.
